More Soft Money Hard Law

The author of the More Soft Money Hard Law blog is Bob Bauer, a partner in the Perkins Coie Political Law Group and Distinguished Scholar in Residence and Senior Lecturer at the New York University School of Law.

In Bob's 30 years of practice, he has provided counseling and representation on matters involving regulation of political activity to national party committees, candidates, political committees, individuals, federal officeholders, corporations, trade associations, and tax-exempt groups.

From December 2009 until June 2011, Bob served President Barack Obama as his White House counsel. He was later General Counsel to the President’s re-election committee.
