While not a law firm, Right Management is the world’s largest talent and career management consulting firm with over 3,500 employees working out of more than 300 service locations in over 50 countries around the world. The successful results of its global e-newsletter program are instructive for law firms with offices around the world.

CHALLENGE

Distribute Right Management's monthly email newsletter - Viewpoint - in multiple languages (i.e., English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese) to tens of thousands of clients and other subscribers across Asia, and track readership and downloads.

SOLUTION

We performed the following tasks in connection with the project:

Converted client's approved email newsletter design into HTML email templates
Activated foreign language character support to enable coding of email newsletters with Asian language foreign characters
Created individual email campaigns for 10 locations (China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and India) using content from client in English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.
Uploaded and hosted downloadable PDF newsletter files, and provided access to same to subscribers via links in email
Scheduled campaigns for distribution as per applicable time zones for each country to maximize readership as per research on optimal campaign timing
Provided client with access to "open" and "clickthrough" tracking.

OUTCOME

The client has been extremely pleased with the program, and campaign creation and distribution has continued on a regular basis since June 2007. Stated Right Management Senior VP Frank Ribuot in 2008:
